Veneers: A Versatile Solution For Bad Teeth

As far as cosmetic dentistry solutions are concerned, dental veneers are a great long-term, cost-effective fix that will make your teeth appear to be flawless and brilliant.

Dental veneers are highly durable shells that get applied to the front of your existing teeth. It may be helpful to think of them as the false fingernails of dentistry.

Veneers are typically made of porcelain and provide a realistic, tooth-colored look that will give you a radiant new smile. If your teeth have been damaged or of your smile simply has a few minor imperfections, a porcelain veneer will make it look completely refurbished. That said, we deal with multiple types of dental veneers: traditional porcelain veneers, minimal prep veneers, and prepless veneers.

Here’s the deal: traditional porcelain veneers are the standard and require a small layer of enamel to be removed prior to placement. For people who want permanent results, this is not a big deal. Our prepless veneers, on the other hand, are very thin and do not require the removal of enamel. These veneers can be temporary and are faster to place. However, they are not suited for hiding very prominent blemishes because they are so thin. We use three types of prepless veneers: Lumineers, daVinci, and DURAthin.

One way or another, we’ll find a solution that fits your needs perfectly.

Two Easy Visits To Davenport Dental Group

That’s right, applying veneers can be done in two quick visits to our Laredo, TX dental office.

To get the process in motion, we will take an impression of your tooth so that we can create a veneer that will fit over the tooth while looking and feeling perfectly natural.

Once we have your individualized veneer, you will need to come in for your second part of the treatment. At that time, we will carefully remove a small section of the surface of your teeth and bond the veneer to your tooth to replace that section. The process for prepless veneers is even more simple and quicker: we simply bond the veneer directly on your tooth without removing enamel.

When we are finished with you, your smile will be to-die-for! Many of our patients elect to get veneers on all of the teeth that show when they smile to ensure a beautiful and more uniform appearance.
