When you look at yourself in the mirror, do you see the smile that you want to see? A smile that reflects your lively personality and vibrant spirit?
If the answer is no, think about what you’d like your teeth and gums to look like. At Davenport Dental Group, we can help you achieve just that with a smile makeover.
A Smile Makeover Is Designed Just for You
Are your teeth worn down, chipped, or discolored? Are they crooked or overcrowded? Or maybe you don’t like the look of your gumline. If you’re like many cosmetic dentistry patients, you have more than one complaint about your smile.
A smile makeover is designed to fix whatever cosmetic dentistry issues are keeping you from the gorgeous grin you crave. It is a custom plan based on your budget, your smile aspirations, and the current condition of your teeth. It may be simple or complex, depending on your wants and needs.
At Davenport Dental Group, one of our skilled dentists will be happy to help you plan out and create your stunning new smile. We will thoroughly explain your options and which will best fit your goals.
Your smile makeover will include some combination of the following procedures.
Tooth bonding is a procedure that can fix many of the same issues as dental veneers.
It will cover a variety of minor cosmetic flaws, including small chip, cracks, and stains. It is also used to close gaps, change the length or shape of a tooth, or even cover mild alignment problems.
Tooth bonding can generally be completed in one visit without anesthesia (unless we’re working with a decayed part of the tooth). First, we will clean the tooth. We then apply a composite resin, similar to filling material, that precisely matches your tooth color to the area to be covered. We mold the resin, harden it with a special light, and then polish and refine it.
Teeth contouring is a fast and easy procedure that involves removing thin layers of enamel to alter the appearance of the tooth. Perhaps your canines are a bit too long. Perhaps your teeth are oddly shaped, rough at the edges, or uneven. Teeth contouring is painless and can be completed in one dental visit.
If your teeth are looking dingy, dark, or stained, you may want to consider teeth whitening. You may have seen whitening kits at the drugstore and wonder if they work. The truth is that the professional products at Davenport Dental Group are far more effective, as they contain higher concentrations of the active agent. If you want good results, come to us.
We offer two teeth whitening options. Our in-office treatment gives dramatic and immediate results. In just one visit, you will get a brilliantly white smile, thanks to four 15-minute applications of our powerful whitening gel.
Our take-home treatment enables you to whiten your teeth over the course of a few weeks. You will have more control over your treatment, as you simply stop when you are at your desired shade. The end result is the same, though: a sparkling, younger-looking smile.
Dental veneers are synonymous with the Hollywood smile. They were created in Tinseltown, and are still popular with entertainers today.
A dental veneer is a thin shell that is bonded to the front of the tooth, covering chips, gaps, stains, minor crookedness, and any number of other flaws. It gives the tooth a truly flawless appearance. Veneers are perfectly matched to the shade of your smile and reflect light just like real teeth, making them amazingly lifelike. They are durable and may last a lifetime with proper care.
At Davenport Dental Group, we offer three types of veneers. Before applying traditional porcelain veneers, we must remove a small layer of tooth enamel. With minimal prep veneers, we have to remove less enamel. We also have prepless veneers, which require no enamel removal and therefore may be placed temporarily.
If you have mild to moderate orthodontic problems, Texas-made ClearCorrect can straighten your teeth practically invisibly. ClearCorrect uses a series of clear plastic custom-made aligners (like ultra-thin mouthguards) to shift your teeth into the desired position. Treatment takes less time than with traditional braces, the aligners are removable for eating and cleaning, and they are so discreet, people will not even realize you are wearing them. If you want to straighten your smile but don’t want metal braces, ClearCorrect is an excellent option.
