I was always afraid of the dentist. And so when I came in and heard that they were good, friendly, professional, I said, you know, "Let's give it a shot." I'd been to dentists before where you don't get a phone call until a week after a follow-up or something, and they're very on top of everything. They send you messages, reminders, email, and so it's perfect for a busy schedule, and I haven't been to a doctor that uses that before, and so getting those reminders instead of phone calls from phone numbers I don't know, it says there it's Davenport Dental Group and you know who it is and who you're communicating with. I've noticed a change in my dental hygiene, and I really attribute that to the whole staff following up and making sure that as a patient I have everything that I need, and that's provided to me through the services here that I receive through the fillings, cleanings, and what have you. They've really been with me every step of the way. And then also the preventative care, I think that's the been the biggest thing that they've helped me with, the dental hygienist really explaining to me proper tooth cleaning techniques, proper hygiene techniques, and making sure to follow up with a routine of that. And so they're very detailed.

Dr. Gomez-Vela has been very kind and supportive on this journey. And so, knowing that I have a dentist that's behind me and keeping up with me really makes it hopeful for my future dental hygiene and for other services to come that will be needed. It really gives me that confidence as a person, as a patient, that makes me not self-conscious of myself, of my smile, of things going on in my mouth, you know. It makes me more open to that.

The trust that you put in them is of very high level. And so, coming from somebody who didn't like the dentist at all, I've already been here twice this year and haven't experienced any sort of problem or mishap or anything. And they really put me on a good dental plan that I could see really good expectations for my future in dental hygiene.

Let them know at what steps that you're struggling with, and they're more than happy to help you. Some people get anxious with the simple x-rays or health questions. They're very accommodating and so, if you let them know upfront whatever part that you are anxious about, they're very helpful and willing to slow down for you, take time their with you, really, as a patient, give you whatever time you need to get the service that you deserve and that you need to get that.

The family feeling that you have coming to a group of professional, hard-working staff that really puts you first and puts your needs and your cares as if you were the only patient they had.

I've enjoyed coming here because I like, you know, the professionalism of the staff. It's been really great. Everyone's really easy to work with. Coming to the dentist is always hard. I mean, I get a little nervous when I'm coming and so, you know, showing up, and everyone's really friendly, it helps to ease my anxiety, I suppose.

Obviously, you know, you go to the dentist, it's a little nerve-racking, and they are completely understanding. They work really well with people. Doctor Martin and the staff have been...they're very patient. They explain everything that they're gonna do. They offer solutions to ease the anxiousness. And I think what really helps is kind of the step-by-step. Before they go in to do the work, they explain to you in detail, you know, what they're gonna do, where they're putting things in your mouth so that you know what to expect.

I see Dr. Catherine Martin. She has great bedside manner. I mean, she's just been really helpful. You know, I hadn't been to the dentist in a few years before coming to see her and she got me all set up, you know, got me back on the right track. And now, I'm coming consistently, getting, you know, all the routine work done. And so, she's been really great.
Very high level. I'm very impressed with everybody that's here.

Since I started, I've been through different processes.

At this point, I'm sure my teeth are healthy.

I started doing dental cleaning. I felt my teeth were a little loose.

But now, I feel my teeth are completely restored.

I needed to have a dental crown made, and because of that my teeth don't bother me anymore.

Since the beginning, the dental crown was great. And if it needed to be adjusted, it was adjusted.

So at this point, I feel comfortable smiling. I smile knowing there's nothing wrong with my teeth.

Through the customer service, when I come in, it's a pretty streamlined experience for me, because I only have...I literally come over on my lunch break. So I come in, I'm seated for a few minutes, and then I'm in the back getting worked on. And then everyone's very conscientious, very nice, and also respective of my time, which to me is very important because I have obligations before and after lunch. So, for me to come in during my lunch break, get the work that I need to get done in a timely manner, that's what really speaks out and stands out to me.

Everything is always on time. Since I'm in the logistics area, everything is for us on time. It means a lot to me, because I have a lot of things to do. It's really welcoming with the people in the entrance, they're really friendly. They always remind you about the appointments, so I love that. They call you if you are okay, or if you don't make it to the appointment, so that means a lot. They take care of me.

Since I'm from Mexico, that they speak both languages, for me it's very important, so they can understand me. Some words or some terminology that I do not know how to say it, they're really friendly to help me out in Spanish. Like all the time I receive my service in Spanish, so even from the assistant to the dentist, completely, and all the people speak Spanish so that mean a lot to me.

With the insurance, they help me a lot, they get with all the process with insurance so you save all that time, they save you a lot of time. They save me a lot of time of research, a lot of time of even go to store and buy it, because you have it here, so I love that.

They know me and I come in and they ask how my mom's doing. My mom's a patient here as well. Even before we get into the cleanings or we get into any of the dental work it's always how have you been, how are you doing, how's work, how's your personal life. So the overall atmosphere is very embracing so you're not ... I mean no one likes to go to the dentist or everybody comes in here kind of "Ugh" but you know, I think when you get here you just kind of calm down and say "Okay well you know, I'm in good hands." It's not going to be a guessing game, it's not going to be a "Well let's just see what we can do." It's again going back to that consistency of them knowing me, knowing what my habits are and knowing a little bit of history on my oral health and things like that so those very simple details that they do here like remembering your name and kind of keeping up with their patients makes me at least you know, feel very confident when I come in I'm going to get good service and more importantly goal oriented service and not just "Well he's just another head in the door" or whatever.

Well, I've been coming here for several years already, and I continue to come back because they have a very friendly staff, very friendly office staff, and they answer all your questions. Of course, Dr Vallone has been very helpful in all of my dental needs.

They've taken are of several issues that I've had, root canals, my dental hygiene, of course, fillings, and any other concern that I may have with any dental issues. I happened to be in New York, and I had started getting a lot tooth pain. There was nothing they could do for me over there when I was on vacation, so I immediately called from New York. I called over here and set an appointment. I said, "I'll be arriving tomorrow, can you please take me right away? I'm in excruciating pain." Sure enough, they took me in the next the morning. Dr. Vallone saw me, and he was able to do the root canal that was greatly needed.

It's been a great experience. I wouldn't go anywhere else, because I've never had any problems here. I think that's what people want, to feel comfortable coming back when they see that your concerns are taken care of, especially when you're in pain and they take you right away. There's sometimes that you'll a dentist and they'll say, "Oh, it'll be another week before we can see you," or two weeks. Here, I've been fortunate that they see me right away whenever I need to come.

Here at Davenport and Associates they have always done a great job with me. I've had a lot of work done here actually and I've never had any pain. I have had problems with grinding my teeth, terrible, terrible headaches in the morning and my jaws would just be tight, of course tossing and turning. I would wake myself up with the grinding that I would do.

They've helped me as far as getting mouthguards and letting me, instructing me on what I should and shouldn't do. I don't have any headaches from grinding anymore since I've been using the night guard. I wake up pretty refreshed and have a good night sleep. Whether it be a cavity being filled or the crowns being put on, I've never had any pain here at this dentist's office. They care about them to make sure that they can do the best they can in making it pain free and doing the best job on whatever procedure is being done.

Once you … when you neglect your teeth, and for a long time, pain is not nice, especially in your mouth. So ,um, Dr. Vallone, the first crown that he probably did on me was one that I experienced a lot of pain on, before I came in. Hence, the next problems that we did, one or two others, then he kind of like did get the crowns in terms of prevention. What he did was, “Hey, Ray, you need to do these crowns by this time or not, we may have problems or pain associated with it."

It was probably a cavity that just led to that pain of that on the nerve. So I mean, once again, you know, pain is not nice. So I'm glad that I got associated with Dr. Vallone, so he can alleviate that problem of pain.

When you walk in, they make you feel very comfortable. I mean, he explains in detail, and he'll tell you, "Hey, this is what I'm going to do first. I'm going to do this second. I'm going to do this third." And while he's actually doing the procedure, he'll actually, he's talking to you and telling you, "Hey, do you need a break?"

Because of, once again, the gentleman cares about how you're feeling inside and on the chair. So the process itself, once again, is very detailed. He takes his time with it and once he finishes, then he has his staff, or the dental hygienists, come in, or the nurses come in, and explain to you what you have to do after the procedure. I'm extremely satisfied with the dental crowns and that he put on me. To be honest with you all, I can actually smile a lot better. No pain. He's actually basically taken care on my teeth for, I'm going to say four or five years or more.

And at this point in my life, I'd feel that my teeth are not perfect, but pretty much close to perfect.

Well, I love it here because of course, the staff is very friendly, but also the facility is very clean and that's important to me. All the equipment, everything is clean. It smells clean, it looks clean. That's big in my book. I wasn't actually grinding my teeth, I was clenching my teeth together. I was even getting a little bit of wearing down of my molars. When I clench down I'd actually wake up at night, because it was causing a lot of pain to my molars. Apparently was causing a lot of pressure, and giving me headaches, and really interrupting my sleep pattern because I just tended to feel a lot of pressure in my jaw. I'd just wake up with really bad headaches.

When I got my cleaning during the year, I talked to my dental hygienist. She recommended ... She asked me if I was clenching. The doctor had a special night guard done for me with a mold and everything. It's really helped my sleep at night, which makes me feel better all around. Now I just sleep soundly through the night. I recommend Dr. Davenport because he's very knowledgeable. The staff if very friendly. They always keep their appointment with me. They send me reminders, email reminders or text messages. That's really important to me because we have just busy lives and we can forget about the things that are important regarding our health.

Yeah I had some fillings removed. I had one small cavity after removing one and they cleaned it out right away. But these fillings were probably 20 years old and so it was time to get them replaced. So it's worked out well so far. I didn't have to come back for any adjustments which, if you've had fillings done in the past, sometimes you gotta go back for adjustments because your bite is off or you're having some pain in there. I didn't have to do that. My bite's been great. I was having problems before that actually and so with ... having trouble keeping my teeth clean because it was areas in there that food was getting caught up on. And I'm very conscientious about my teeth and my breath so they were able to fix that and I appreciate that.

What's really outstanding, and I'll say this and tell them, I'm very honest. If I didn't like something I'd say it. But the customer service is just outstanding. Everybody remembers you by name, which to me is outstanding because they have so man customers come in. But they explain to you, especially the billing process, what your insurance covers. And they tell you exactly how it is and there's no ... I never had any hidden fees that I wasn't happy with, or any hidden fees period. So I like that too, by the way.

What got me here in the first place was a few months ago I was having a lot of problems with a crown. Every month I was going back to my old dentist and getting her to fix it, and she actually wasn't in my insurance network. My colleague recommended that I go to Dr. Davenport. I did, and he's in my insurance network, and he fixed up my crown the first time I saw him, so I'm really happy with what I got.

One thing that did happen, my earlier dentist had basically condemned one of my teeth to death. She said, "Okay, you've got like, two years and there's nothing more I could ... I can try to fix it but you'll be very unhappy with it." And I said to Dr. Davenport and he said, "Well, we'll ... um, you should just, ah, have this capped off." And I said, "Well my other dentist said this tooth is going to die." And he said, "I disagree." And so I'd say he saved my tooth, so I'm always happy to keep all the teeth I can have.

I love coming to Davenport Group because they gave me a second chance of having a smile. I lost most of my teeth because of the chemo and the radiation. My teeth were decaying really, really rapidly, and it was painful, not nice. And he talked to me about the crowns: it was not going to be painful, they would last for a long, long time. I just decided that the pain was so bad that I was going to make the investment on the veneers and the crowns.

So I came, it took three visits, and in three visits, I got 12 teeth done in one sit-down, which was an hour and a half, which is unheard. If I had gone any other place, they would've been doing another crown, and another other crown. That way they get the money and just bring you the business, again and again. Here, they care about the way you feel, you look, and when everything's said and done, they look 100 percent more beautiful than you'll ever imagine. You just take selfies and want to put them anywhere, everywhere, and show everyone. And like I told my friends, "Go get them.” It's like, “Why do you get your braces? Don't hide your smile. Just go get the crowns on, the veneers, and that way you can go out and have fun.”

Dr. Vallone and the staff really put you at ease. They talk to you. They are nice. They answer all the questions you might have. It doesn't matter if it is one or is 20, they just want you to relax, be comfortable as doing their job.

They put you at ease. They're always checking while the work is being done. They're always checking on you. They're like, "Is everything okay? Do you need to stop for a minute? Do you want some water? Is this comfortable?" I usually come and for me, it's like a little nap because I get so peaceful here while they're doing the job that I take it like, “Just move me wherever you want. I know that you're going to do a great job. Let me catch a little nap before I have to go back to work.” So that's how peaceful I feel.

But I have friends that I've recommended, and they're very, very stressful. They just told me, like, "Thank you for recommending me Dr. Vallone because I don't get scared that I'm going to the dentist. I know that he's going to do a great job, and my heart doesn't start pumping. I just go put my music on, let them do their job, and that's it." So, it's not a spa day, but you can make it a spa day there. They are so nice that they will let you enjoy your time, and you know that you're going to have a great job done when you're done.

Before I started coming here, I really pretty much hadn't visited a dentist that much, especially when it came towards lack of benefits. However, my previous job, I was able to acquire benefits, mainly dental. So I was actually able to get some procedures done. Which would include, how do you call it? Cavities, filling out some cavities. And, again, going for professional cleanings. So just basically that, and just basically those procedures alone helped improved my smile. And not only that, just improved my peace of mind knowing that my teeth are being taken care of. So I would say that's a real big plus right there. The fact that he was able to fill in those cavities and do the deep cleaning, he got me really taken care of there in that area.

Everyone's different. With me personally, I don't have any anxiety or fears coming in here. I know what needs to get done. But I could tell, regardless of whether I could be that type of mentality or someone who was just worried, again, they engage in conversation. They want to talk to you, they want to tell you, "How's your day going?" And the plans for the weekend. They want to engage in dialogue to get your mind off of any type of worries or anxiety that you have, whether it's towards a procedure or why you're here, or for any other reason. So again, that alone is a reason why I like coming to Dr. Davenport.

I've just never had any issues and it's always been a pretty pleasant experience. The wait is always very short. That's what I like a lot too, so I've never wait more than maybe 10 minutes. Whereas, some other doctors and offices, and stuff, sometimes I would wait hours to see a doctor.
One thing they've done I thought was pretty neat is they'll actually take a picture of your teeth and somehow they'll generate an image of how it could look and then they coach you on how to get there. You see your smile as it is, then you see, oh, it could look like this. Then they tell you how to do that and so I thought that was pretty cool.

They always have someone walk you where you need to go, walk you back or, you know, where you're leaving or whatever. They'll tell you when you're coming back and what you have upcoming, and how much it's gonna cost. They send reminders before your appointment, which is really helpful, because I forget everything. I get my reminder right there and say, "Okay, I got to go in."

The doctors, like I said, you can tell they're very intelligent, but just they're also real friendly. They'll talk to you for a while to see how your day was, that kind of stuff before you get started, so make you feel comfortable. It's just a very well run operation.

I've always liked the service. I've never had to wait long in the waiting rooms at all. I've never experienced any sort of pain or anything when they're cleaning my teeth. It's all been very, very smooth and very quick service so I like that a lot. If they see a certain problem area that I might have been neglecting or not cleaning with normal brushing or anything like that then they might tell me something that I can do to help improve in those area.

There wasn't any pain at all. I was expecting something to be at least a little painful from the shot to the filling, I didn't feel anything at all. They're really good and they took care of me really well. They do a really good job on helping me feel comfortable and they keep the space very comfortable and they're all very friendly. Everything's very easy and comfortable.

I think if you came here once you wouldn't to any other dentists around because they really know what they're doing here and it's a very easygoing friendly environment and like I said, there's never any sort of pain or anything when you're getting any sort of procedure done and everything goes very smooth. You don't have to wait a long time. In and out faster than you would've imagined.

Well, before they did the implant, I was having a lot of trouble with a tooth that was fairly close to the front and it hurt. It hurt and I knew something was wrong and that it had to come out or something had to be done. I was in such bad shape. It was during Christmas and they knew I was hurting, so they got me in right away, then started the process.

They told me, step-by-step, what was going to happen, who was going to do what, and the time that it would take. They gave me an estimate on the whole procedure as to what it would cost with the other professionals working on me.

My smile was very important to me and now I'm confident with it. I would go around with my hand on my face because I had to go without a tooth for a little while. It was intimidating but now I don't feel that way. I'm confident and I like my teeth.

I've actually gotten several fillings and several filling replacements. So I've had, you know, a few of my fillings from the old style of fillings that have been replaced and they've gotten to the, I guess, the porcelain refills. I've actually gotten a few of those and in the instance that they're really not, you know, I really don't feel comfortable, they're very accepting for me to come back and make any adjustments to my teeths to make sure that I'm able to eat and function properly.

I used to have the silver fillings. I have quite a bit so I did get several of them replaced just because they've been so outdated that they're not longer healthy for your mouth or for your teeth. So I got the recommendation to change them and I haven't had a problem since. They're very noticeable. Silver fillings are really noticeable so now that I have the porcelain ones, you know, I feel a little bit more confident. I can smile a little more and not be so conscientious of people staring at my mouth particularly.

All of the staff from the moment that you walk in the door, they greet you by your name. They recognize you and they're very welcoming. As soon as you walk through the door to go into the dental chair, there's somebody that's already, you know, asking you how your day's gone and they're explaining to you already what's going to happen. And so it's just a nice, homey feeling when you come to this office.

I love coming to Davenport Dental Group because every time I come in, they make me feel at home, like I'm visiting a friend's house. They talk to me about sports, they ask about my day, what I've been up to, they tell me about how they've been, what they have going on. It's really personable, so it doesn't feel so much like it's a business venture. It feels kind of like I'm just talking to friends, and we just communicate.

They kind of get to know you so that they can figure out how to talk to you, how to communicate with you. That's big because you go into a lot of places, and it's a professional atmosphere. When you're in a professional atmosphere, they don't really try to figure out you, the person. They do that here. They care about the individual and making sure that when the individual leaves here, they leave with confidence.

They do what they can to make you trust the work that's happening and trust that the individuals are looking out for your best interests. That's huge. When you come somewhere and you feel like the individuals care about you, care about your interests, that you're not just here for a service, that makes you confident in the work they're going to do. It makes you feel more relaxed. We've all been to see a car dealership to buy a car, and when you don't get service, you go somewhere else. They give you that service here, you don't have to worry about that.

When I came here originally, I had some work done in the military, and it was older work, and he's like, "Hey, what they've done isn't really stuff that's used nowadays. So what we can do is we can go back in and we can remove some of that stuff and we can put it in porcelain crowns." I had a tooth that was broken off in the back, and it wasn't a big deal. I couldn't feel any sharp edges, but he was like, "Hey, we could take care of that for you." I'd never had a filling before, and I was kind of nervous about it. They talked to me, they made me feel like it wasn't as big of a procedure or as much trouble as I thought it was going to be.

You want to have confidence in your smile, and by having some of the things I had going on in my mouth, I wasn't. I hadn't had a routine cleaning in a while, but what they did was they went in and they did a deep clean, and it was two different visits, and it felt amazing whenever I left. After the first visit it felt great. And so I came in for the second one, and I was like, "Oh, there's more? Nice." But I've gone into the dentist before, and the person doing the work in my mouth, they would hit my gumline and it was uncomfortable. Here, it was pain-free. Dr. Vallone's, they would come in after, double-check, make sure it was right. Once he did the first crown, he looked in the upper back right side and he was like, “Hey, that tooth's broken as well. We'll get you in, we'll get it fixed."

I don't really ask a whole lot of the questions because I'm at ease. I feel like I can trust these people with that side of the work. All I have to do when I come in is sit in the chair, lean back, and when I leave, I know I'm good to go. I have 100 percent more confidence in my smile now than when I came here originally. I have no issue with showing my teeth. I make a point now, whenever I see somebody in braces, to smile, just to make a joke. Different little things like that make me proud of the work they've done.

They relax you. They talk to you so you won't be nervous. By the time the doctor comes, you're relaxed and you enjoy what the doctor's doing really. He comes in and explains everything that he did to you and you go out with a happy smile and all fixed up.

I was having problems with one of my back teeth. It was hurting and he found something wrong with my back teeth. He said it was best for me to have a crown on it. No problem. They have a couple procedures to do, and he did it fine. I'm very satisfied with his work. You just lay there and he does his work and nothing happens. You're out, just perfect.

They relax you. They talk to you. They make you laugh. That relaxes you, because coming to the doctor, any doctor, you have fear. Your pressure goes up and whatever. Like any other places, the staff is excellent. He tells you your problems. He explains everything to the detail. It makes you feel at ease.

I recommend Dr. Davenport because to me, I have no problems and I enjoy coming when I need to come, because I know I'm going to be at ease and feeling comfortable coming to this place.

In terms of the bonding of my teeth, from a very young age, I'd had chips on my teeth and problems from just breaking things, being an athletic kid. And so I spent a lot of time in a dentist's office over the years getting things fixed. In my 15 years, Dr. Vallone's fixed it once and has never needed to fix it again. And that's pretty impressive, because in the past I have gone to dentists that have needed to constantly retouch and change the nature of the work, and the work doesn't hold as long. So I'm very satisfied with the way he performed my bonding.

Well, I've been very fortunate in coming to this office. The hygienists are trained to the top level, and they are greeting me. I feel welcome here. They explain every aspect of the procedure, and they even let me know that I have a choice whether I want to go through this procedure or whether it's an option, whether it's recommended or whether it is something that I may or may not want to put off for another day.

Additionally, I'm really impressed when they explain things: “Your insurance will cover this,” “The cost will be this outside of your insurance,” or “This may be an elective procedure that the insurance may not cover.” That's important to me. I want to know what I'm going to be paying for procedures as well as what's going to be done, and that's rare.

When I first moved to Laredo, I knew very few people, and I asked about recommendations. An individual that I worked with recommended Dr. Davenport's practice, and I came here curious because I've moved around the country, I've gone to various dentists, and I wanted to make sure I had the right fit. And instantly, Alex Vallone was just the right fit. He knew what he was doing, he told me what he was going to do, and he took care, he understood the nature of my teeth and the complex work that it required.

Well, I've had some bonding across my teeth that are related to chips and some root canal work that needed to be done and some fillings in just various parts of my mouth. The root canal process could have potentially been a prolonged procedure, and it could have been quite painful. However, he explained to me what he was going to do. He went in, performed the numbing, did a fantastic job, got in, did the job right the first time, and I was out and I'm no longer in pain. I'm always happy to come here. They do a fantastic job from start to finish, ranging from the staff that greet me here – I'm in and out, no long waiting periods – and I get top-quality dental care here.

The people, they just smile, they talk to you. It's like therapy. We go to the doctor, you hear the drill and everything, you're already set up for your root canal, whatever. The paint's minimum here. Before they inject you, you gum, they have a swab with Q-tip and that numbs your gum. The pain's minimal. I've been coming here off and on, but at first they just ... Everybody smiles. You meet another nurse that's coming out of another office, "Hi. How're you doing?" Everybody smiles at you. By the time you get there, the fear's gone. When you sit down, you feel comfortable. They talk to you. They have like a window, you can see outside. You're looking outside, the birds and everything, that helps a lot. Once you get here, you're going to see the difference. You ain't going to feel nothing.

They were very good at making you feel welcome. Again, it's that personalized feeling that you get. So when they're texting you through the software that they use or calling you to double-check if you're going to make the appointment, it's always on a first-name basis. That for me means you know that they're at that personal level with you. Again, it doesn't feel like a doctor/patient or a staff/patient kind of call. Even when you get here, right away they familiarize themselves with your face, so you always get that welcome as soon as you walk in.

Instead of saying, "May I help you?" They already know who's coming in. "Hey, Mr. Gonzales, how can we help you? You want to take a seat or sign in here?" Again, that just brings a lot to the table when it comes to visiting an office that doesn't make you feel like that patient all the time, but it's more of a welcoming feeling that I feel. Even when we're in the back with a cleaning, everything is very comfortable as far as a relationship with our hygienist or the doctor himself or any staff. So I think towards the end, it's an all-around feeding that you get from the staff and the doctor himself where they make you feel, I guess, part of the team or part of the family, if you want to use that.

So that's why we stick to Dr. Davenport and associates. We stick to Dr. Vallone and their staff, my family and all. I know I have a lot of friends that tell me, "Well, why do you take your daughters to such a place and not a dentist that deals with children?" And I'm like, "Well, they don't feel like if they're visiting just any doctor." They don't have to be treated like, Oh, this is just for kids. The service in itself speaks a lot. And my daughters, I have an 8-year-old and a 14-year-old, and they feel comfortable coming in here. They make you feel welcomed, and they're very efficient, and with somebody with a busy schedule, juggling work, home, kids, sports, this is the place to be.

I was in the military for 25 years. Deployed a lot of places. Your teeth kind of get put on the back burner . Finally came to retirement. Went to my retirement ceremony and you have to do a physical before you actually retire out of the military. As long as your teeth are somewhat healthy, they sign off on the paperwork and let you out. But cosmetically they didn't look tremendous at all.

I made a consultation with Dr. Davenport, and he gave me different options I could use. We both came to the conclusion eight veneers up top. I wanted to do the bottoms too and he kind of talked me out of it. Says, "Maybe a waste of money because when you smile you only see the top teeth." I was like, "Wow, I didn't really realize that." Yeah, I looked at it, so we decided to go with eight veneers off his recommendation. Haven't regretted it since.

It's been a awesome decision for myself, my family. You look in the mirror after it's done. Wow. You almost want to start crying. It looked totally different. My family noticed a big difference. I notice a big difference. Immediate family, aunts, uncles and that, yeah, they notice, but if you're actually walking around town and you run into someone you know, they won't notice. They won't say anything until you tell them, "Hey, look at my teeth." That was a good feeling.

I had a gap in between my teeth, my front two teeth, and he educated me on the Clear Correct and set me up with the trays, and so I come every four or five weeks for my new tray and he measures and adjusts. I wear them all day, and I take them out when I eat and then I brush my teeth again. Then I brush the Clear Correct, then I put them back in and I wear them. Then it's time for bed, brush them again. It's the same routine. But you're basically wearing them all the time. I'm excited for when I'm done, I'll just have to wear them at night.

I didn't think it was going to be so invisible. I guess because it's in my mouth and I'm conscious that it's in there. But hardly anybody can tell that I'm wearing it. I teach, so I talk all day and I'm wearing it. The kids couldn't even tell that I had it on.

I was always confident and smiling, but that gap I got later in life. I don't know why, I guess your teeth shift. That's what the doctor says, that your teeth shift. I never wore braces my entire life, so I never knew what that was like. Having something foreign in my mouth like the Clear Correct was definitely a new feeling for me. But prior to having the Clear Correct I always felt like people were looking at the gap that I had in between my teeth. It wasn't even that big. I mean, my husband says it wasn't that big. I felt like it was huge. There's nothing like being self conscious about something. Knowing that after this whole process that's going to be over feels good, it's reassuring. It's a relief.

I like the environment. When I get here, they're very nice and very friendly. I'm always been scared of going to the dentist, and they make the environment pleasant for me. They tell you, "This is what we're gonna do," and they guide you, and you know, and you expect everything. If you get scared, they'll stop. They have patience. They have patience with me and they take my feeling in consideration. They take their time with me. If they have to be two hours with me because I tell them, "I'm scared," or this or that, they stop and I like that part of them. I'm not just a patient. I feel like I'm family here.

I had a root canal done. I heard about this place, so I came to get it done, because actually to get a crown done in other places it takes like three weeks for them to get it for you. Here it's actually in one day not even like two hours. So I was literally in and out with my crown and everything. I didn't have to come back in three weeks. So that was pretty cool.

More like my natural tooth, like normal. I walked out very pleased that it didn't bother me, and it was my like actual tooth. All the technology here is very high-tech. I'm just like, everything is done correctly, everything is fast, everything done quickly. Everything is a lot more advanced than it is at other places, I must say.

Now you can actually know more about your own teeth and actually get a good idea of what you need and what you don't need, and how fast you need it. They're very good about that here. I like coming here because everyone is so nice. They make you feel welcome, they make you feel at home, they make you feel like you want to come back, so that's why I like coming here.

My kids, well, I've got four-year-old twins and so I used to open up my mouth and say, "Look, this is what you don't want to have," all cavities because you had all those gray fillings. Some of them were dated back into the '70s. Anyways, so just having all that done and when you open up your mouth and the kids look at it, "Wow Daddy, you've got white teeth. No yellow teeth, no gray teeth." You know? That's a big improvement.

So what did I have done? A lot. I don't remember how many cavities I had that were filled. I had no problems with them. Really I didn't, so it was more of a cosmetic thing, but because I was so at ease with them and felt good about their work I decided you know what? Let's give it a shot. My wife is actually thinking about doing it too. I'm very confident that Davenport and I'll continue to do my business with them. I'll recommend them to others only because of the results.

Every visit has been, to me it's been just to the point where you don't regret it because you don't leave here with pain even though you're still numbed up, but after the numbness has gone away there is no pain. There's no repercussions so it seems like these guys know what they're doing because otherwise in many cases you're going to be suffering a little bit. Especially after having I'd say I had maybe about three, six, nine, probably about 12 old cavities that were refilled.

Laredo is famous for having to sit and wait when you go to doctors' offices. When I come to Dr. Davenport, you have an appointed time and you're taken in exactly at the time of your appointment is specified for.

When you come here, it's such a wonderful experience with everyone. Starting with the front desk. Everybody is so pleasant. And it makes you feel really good that they are concerned about your time.

I was having a lot of sensitivity problems. With coffee, with hot drinks, with cold drinks. I didn't want to lose the tooth. Dr. Davenport recommended a root canal. He did replace the original tooth with porcelain. It turned out well. I was very pleased with it, and really it wasn't uncomfortable. I should say that I would highly recommend Dr. Davenport and this clinic.

We moved here from out of town, and it was imperative that we find a dentist for my son. He's now eight. The relationship that Dr. Davenport has built with my son is actually why I come here as well. It's a new office, so they've got televisions so he can watch TV. I think the last time we were here, he was reading his book to me for his AR testing, and then during the appointment I was able to continue reading the book to him. It's sort of a very friendly atmosphere where we can come and have the procedures done that are necessary but then still get other things done as well.

I'm always able to come back with my son when we come in for his regular checkups. It helps him be a little bit more calm and relaxed, and it helps me understand what the dentist is giving him advice for. I have to hear it in order to remember it kind of person, and so when the checkup is complete and the doctor's giving him some advice about how to floss, how to brush, it helps me because then I can reinforce that at home when we're flossing and brushing.

The environment here is really family-friendly. I really appreciate how when we come in Dr. Davenport is asking my son about the NBA basketball team that my son follows, or did you get to see the last game. He remembers the things that are interesting for my son, which also helped put my son at ease because he has that sort of relationship where it's just a conversation. I appreciate that.

I like it because the people are so nice. They treat you really nice. The doctor's super nice. They explain to you a whole that and it makes a whole difference. Believe you me, I don't go up to doctor just that easy. But I come here because they treat you nice and they explain everything.
I came and I tried it and now I love it. Now my teeth look nice or my wife tell me, "Now you can smile." Which I do now a little bit more because I never did. So now I do.

I do feel healthier and stronger. I feel a lot better for myself that I can smile, that are my teeth are not green or not black, or, you know. That I feel a lot better and it's feel a lot better now that I know that I'm going to be a little bit more healthier.

They explain to you a whole lot. They just don't come and, "Open your mouth." No, no, they explain what they're going to do, what it's for and everything. They show you everything. Like when they took videos of my teeth and pictures, they showed me everything. This is bad, this is good, don't worry about it. We'll take care about it. It's awesome. Everything's awesome. But the people are great.

Oh man, you won't regret it. These people, like I said, they will treat you nice and they'll make you feel special.

Great, it's like you feel like a family. I come in here, they welcome you and they're very professional the way they treat you. You feel like they care about you and that for me is a very important. I don't want to feel a place that I am coming, and I want more patient. I want to feel that they care about me. You need to trust in a doctor that you're coming. I trust in Dr. Davenport. I feel that he will do a good job. I feel that he, if I feel uncomfortable in any case he will do something for me to be relaxed like with my daughters. My daughters coming here too and one of them have the anxiety when she came for a filling and he gave her something to calm her down and she did. It was in the beginning a little bit stressful for her but she did and my kids come in every six months too and they have no anxiety.

I guess the way they treat you is very important and they way that they calm is very important for us and they've been great. They recommended the [inaudible 00:01:04] and the staffing is absolutely great. Very, very courteous, very, very nice people. They will help your needs. It's is a nice place. I like my doctor a lot. Dr. Davenport is the number one in the market of Laredo. I highly recommend him.

They're very professional here and well, I need dental service, just as a preventive, I guess. Because, I've been fortunate that I've never had any, just one cavity, but they're very professional here, both Dr. Davenport, and his staff.

Frankly, I didn't know I had a cavity. It was on an upper molar and I couldn't feel it. There was no pain at all. In one of the visits, every six months, he said he found one there, so they took care of it right away before it got any worse. It was my first experience. All I had ever heard before was that it may be painful because the drilling and all that. It was very quick, easy experience, and stuff. It really surprised me. I was in and out very quickly. I had zero pain. I was expecting a whole lot, but I didn't have any pain at all.

I've always been comfortable. In fact, during the cleaning of my teeth today, I fell asleep, I was so relaxed. They perform their work very, very quickly, very efficiently, and answer all the questions you need, and what more can you expect? They have great customer service.

Dr. Vallone and his staff have been wonderful, not only to myself, but to my family. We've been coming here for a little bit over six years now. He's been extremely professional, knowledgeable, has tackled any issue that we've had, either with myself and with my children's dental health.
Before, we used to go with another dentist, a local dentist, and I had noticed that my kids, every now and then, would be hesitant in going to the dentist. But it wasn't until we started coming here that I actually noticed my children not be scared anymore and that was important to me. And I noticed, by sitting next to them in the chair, that Dr. Vallone treated them with the same respect that he would with me or my wife.

They make you feel comfortable from the minute you sit down in the waiting room, which is actually a minimal wait. But once you sit down in the chair, they talk to you, they actually even explain what they're going to do before they actually do it. And they actually prep you and give you the information that you need, so that you feel comfortable while in the chair.

Just knowing that the staff is experienced and knowledgeable in the type of procedure that they're going to do? It just brings confidence and relaxation.

I feel like here, I was able to trust them with, of course, one thing that everyone's ... really focuses is on is like, a smile. I feel like when you meet someone, a smile is really important. I was able to entrust them in making my smile beautiful.

When I first starting coming, I had braces, so it was really good having them help me, since they were teaching me exactly how to clean my teeth with braces. 'Cause it's really hard to do it and it would give me the floss that I needed, and they would show me how to use it, and the toothbrushes, they told me which ones were the right ones. Even when I was going to my orthodontist, they really didn't show me as much as what I should do. But here, they really did.

I always felt comfortable asking them, any questions that I had. They always had the right explanation and it all made sense. After a while, it just feels like it's more like ... THey're your friends here. I know they're giving me the best treatment that they can or they're giving me all that they can. And it doesn't feel like it's super, like, they're just pretending, oh, 'cause I'm just a client. Like, I feel like they really do care what's best for me or they really want to do their best work on me.

Definitely suggested, 'cause you're going to get amazing treatment from amazing people and you're going to have a great smile after.
